نجوم هوليوود والعالم السينمائي أجمع على موعدٍ مع أكبر ليلة احتفالية سينمائية، حيث حفل توزيع جوائز أوسكار في النسخة الـ 96، المقرر إقامته يوم 10 مارس 2024. وكما أعلنت إدارة الحفل سابقاً، سيكون جيمي كيميل هو مضيف الحفل للمرة الرابعة له.
سيشهد حفل عام 2024 تنافساً لأبرز أفلام عام 2023 من بينهم Oppenheimer الذي حصل على أكبر عدد من الترشيحات بـ13 ترشيحاً، يليه فيلم Poor Things الذي يتنافس بـ 11 ترشيحاً، بينما يتنافس Killers of the Flower Moon بـ 10 ترشيحات.
جيمي كيميل مع كيت ماكينون عبر أوسكار لاند
مع اقتراب موعد حفل توزيع جوائز أوسكار يؤكد جيمي كيمل على استضافته الحفل، من خلال مقطع فيديو تمت مشاركته عبر حساب أوسكار على إنستغرام، وهو عبارة عن مسرحية هزلية مضحكة، يبدو فيها أن كيميل تائه ويريد العودة إلى هوليوود، ولكي يعود عليه اجتياز أوسكار لاند.
يبدأ الفيديو عندما يجد جيمي كيميل نفسه أمام منزل غريب فيدق جرس الباب، فتفتح له كيت ماكينون، وحتى يعود عليه اجتياز أوسكار لاند الشبيه بعالم باربي لاند. وأثناء رحلتهما في أوسكار لاند يستقلان سيارة تسير على الأرض وتُبحر في المياه، ويلتقيان بالشخصيات المؤدية في الأفلام المرشحة للأوسكار.
ومع اقتراب نهاية الفيديو، يصلان أخيراً لمسرح دولبي حيث يُقام الحفل، فيتفاجأ جيمي كيميل بخروج أميريكا فريرا من السيارة، ثم رايان غوسلينغ. هيلين ميرين كانت متواجدة أيضاً في المسرحية، لكنها لم تظهر، بل لعبت دور الراوية.
